My Thoughts:
I really, really loved this book!! It was crazy how similar the story was to my life. My brother is a gamer, and my mom hates it. She's always telling him to find new hobbies and get off the computer. I also have social anxiety, not to the extreme Audrey does at all, but I related to the story and the characters so much.
I thought it was cool how it never told you what happened to her, It's obvious she was being bullied, but that's not what the book was about. It was about her getting better and moving on, and I really liked that.
I didn't love the romance. It was really cute and adorable, but I'm not a fan when the two people are that young. It felt really unrealistic because of that. I think if they were older I would have liked it a lot better. But I still loved Linus and Audrey together.
I loved the family aspect of the story. I thought Frank was hilarious. And Felix was so cute. I did find myself getting annoyed by the mom because she was a little extreme. But towards the end I liked her a lot more. I thought the dad was funny too. I loved when he got the moms age wrong on the cake, and how they covered it up with ketchup was hilarious.
I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book, it was so funny, heartwarming, and beautiful, I can't wait to read more of Sophie Kinsella's books! I gave it 4.5 stars on Goodreads.
